National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day is Monday

"Law enforcement officers and their families are some of the most humble and courageous people around".

Orange County law enforcement officials are encouraging the public to participate in Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, a nationwide day of support for police officers established by the organization Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.), on Monday, Jan. 9.

================================================ Each and every day the fearless men and woman of our law enforcement risk their lives to protect and serve. The day recognizes "the service and sacrifice of law enforcement officials in Minnesota and around the country".

"The men and women who wear the badge understand the dangers of their job, but they heed the call to serve and willingly face those risks every day in order to create safe communities for all Americans", said Congressman Reichert in a statement about his effort. Lauderdale. We owe our law enforcement officers a level of respect and support befitting of their commitment to us.

This support is especially critical in the wake of the assassination of a police officer in Orlando on Monday. "I thank my House freshman colleagues on both sides of the aisle for their willingness to stand up for law enforcement and hope the President will join us in that effort", the Jacksonville Republican said.

Dayton directed the Minnesota Department of Transportation to light the Minneapolis Interstate 35W bridge blue in recognition of the day.

Organize an event or a rally in support of your law enforcement officers.
