Capcom's "Disney Afternoon Collection" Targets Platforming Nostalgia

The Disney Afternoon Collection is sure to make every retro gamer exceedingly happy. We know Capcom is focusing a lot on remasters and re-releases, but six NES classics have been dredged up and risen from their graves for a PC, PS4, and Xbox One collection.

The compilation includes emulated versions of six classic Capcom games for the NES, all presented in their original format while giving players access to a variety of presentation options.

Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers and Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers 2 - A classic co-op platformer featuring two playable characters, Chip and Dale. These games were originally released on the NES and were based off hit Disney cartoons.

Darkwing Duck - Take control of the witty superhero Darkwing Duck and fight crime in St. Canard. Well, in TaleSpin you can take to the skies as Baloo as the bear navigates his plane through odd and risky locations in this classic side-scrolling shoot 'em up. The Disney Afternoon Collection will set you back $19.99 when it launches on Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4 systems on April 18. There is also a new time attack mode with leaderboards where players can compete for the fastest times on a given course.

The titles will offer full 1080p HD support and actually include all new game modes never before seen. There will also be a Rewind feature, which will allow players to rewind the game by holding down a button if they mess up. Boss rush and time-attack modes will be included for each game, and you'll also have the ability to rewind your mistakes instead of replaying an entire level (though purists are free to play the oldschool way).
