Other revamps that come along with Android 7.1 Nougat update include swipe across the sensor to view alerts, app shortcuts, and more advanced image keyboard support. Then, a few weeks ago, Google rolled out the second beta build of the Android 7.1.2 update. As soon as they appear, we will update this same news with all the information to download Android 7.1.2 on the Google Nexus 6P and Google Nexus 5X.
Since this update to Android 7.1.2 Nougat is just an incremental update, we don't expect a lot of new stuff after the update.
Having said that, there is still a slight chance of Google rolling another software update, if they find any glitches in the current v7.1.2 firmware in coming days.
The Pixel C tablet gains some changes that first debuted on phones. The Pixel C also gets the same rounded app icons as its smaller siblings, something that makes the relationship between the two sets of Pixel devices more obvious. The most exciting update seems to be composed of some major tweaks relating to the tablet's interface.
The latest version of Android Nougat introduces the new Pixel Launcher to the last remaining tablet supported by Google, in addition to the new method of revealing the app drawer. Users report that the new operating system update is now available to their Pixel C and Nexus Player devices. The recent apps on the Pixel C will also change from the card-based "tickler" style that is seen in smartphones to a grid that displays the eight apps most recently used in the tablet. The new option basically shows you a list of apps that may be consuming excessive battery. Users can check for the upgrade in the "about" menu for system updates.
