Will behead those who oppose Ram temple construction, says BJP MLA

Raja Singh told the crowd that those who try to stop construction of the temple are traitors and would be driven out of the country.

The Hyderabad Police on Monday filed a complaint against Bharatiya Janata Party legislator Raja Singh for hate speech.

Distancing itself from Singh's statement, BJP, however said that the Ram temple can be built only with consensus. The incident triggered nationwide violence that left hundreds dead.

"I challenge you. If any mother has given birth to such a tiger who can stop the construction of the Ram temple, I will take you on", he was heard saying.

With each passing day there has been growing clamour within BJP leaders for building Ram Temple in Ayodhya and the latest to join it is a BJP MLA from Hyderabad Raja Singh, who has threaten to behead those who are opposing it. "We can sacrifice our lives and even kill others, this is my warning to those who want to create hindrance in the construction of the temple", Singh said in an interview to a news agency on Sunday. The BJP MLA said the "mullah sarkar" has gone in Uttar Pradesh. He called it "baap ki sarkaar (my father's government)".

According to Dabeerpura police Jummerat Bazar area comes under Shahinathgunj police station.

In the purported video Singh is seen saying, "The day is not far".

Vijayan came to Hyderabad to take part in various programmes including a Malayalees' get-together and a CPM public meeting to mark the success of Padayatra by its leaders in Telangana on people's issues. "It is just that the case of Ram temple is pending in the Supreme Court, otherwise we would have built a grand temple in Ayodhya", he added.

Earlier on March 21, the apex court had suggested an out-of-court settlement in the highly vexed case.

However, the Congress was unimpressed as its spokesperson Sanjay Jha said that the BJP can not wash off its hands by calling those making inflammatory statements as fringe elements.

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) condemned Raja Singh's remark. Let them speak more.

"If cows are trashed in a vehicle it is known where they are taken to".
