Oakland Won't Be Shedding Tears Over Raiders Move

In the wake of receiving the 31-1 vote from National Football League owners to allow him to move the franchise to Las Vegas, Davis was still trying to digest the feelings swirling around him as he picked at his lunch Monday afternoon.

Although Davis wants to stay in Oakland, he clearly won't be keep his team there if it doesn't have any support.

Madden was head coach of the Raiders from 1969 through 1978, went to five consecutive AFC title games and coached the Super Bowl XI championship team in the 1976 season.

A move to Nevada's famous casino city would make Raiders games more accessible to their Los Angeles fans, as Las Vegas is 100 miles closer to LA than Oakland. Carr, born in Fresno, attended Fresno State and was drafted in the second round by the Raiders in 2014.

Davis said the team would pursue an agreement to play in the Coliseum for the 2019 season. He was just as flummoxed when asked whether his late father, Hall of Famer Al Davis, would have also pursued Las Vegas.

Oakland fans have to be devastated, considering the team already left once for L.A.in 1981, this newest move is like winning back the girl that left you for another man, only to watch her leave again for a showgirl.

"If I was a fan, I wouldn't attend a game, but that's just me". "They chose Las Vegas over a viable Oakland option". The team will leave Oakland and begin play at an 18,000-seat, privately funded facility in San Francisco in 2019. "We needed to provide certainties and stability for the Raiders and the league". It is offensive. And what they're doing is they're taking the money out of the backs, and out of the hides of people who can't afford it. Yesterday City Council President Larry Reid was consulting lawyers to see if they could immediately kick the raiders out of the Coliseum. "I understand [Oakland fans] will be angry and disappointed. Don't know if there's anything we can do to stop them", Reid said. As players, we will show up and give everything we have.

But Green has shown support for the Raiders in the past by attending some of their games and the move has him flabbergasted.
