Marvel Studios' Biggest Bad Guy Cast As DEADPOOL 2's CABLE

As we all know, Brolin is already knee-deep in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Thanos, the big bad of Avengers: Infinity War and its as-yet-untitled sequel.

The Hollywood Reporter was the first to report that actor Josh Brolin has been cast as Cable as production prepares to begin on "Deadpool 2", which will arrive in theaters in 2018.

It might be on goal considering the sarcastic humor of the "Deadpool" franchise, as Brolin already plays big baddie Thanos in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Brolin beat out contenders like Michael Shannon and David Harbour for the role that Fox has been on a tear trying to find the right fit for.

Brolin's casting follows the news of Zazie Beetz of "Atlanta" being cast as Domino in "Deadpool 2."

According to THR, the Hail Caesar star is signed on for a 4-picture deal, which will likely include an X-Force movie and possibly a solo spinoff. John Wick's David Leitch is directing the untitled sequel, which was written Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who wrote the first installment.

Cable plays the straight man to the wisecracking Deadpool in the Marvel comics. A specific release date for this movie has yet to be announced.
