Over the weekend the Kiwi songstress performed to more than 100,000 festival-goers in California, singing her best hits as well as previewing a new song from her upcoming album Melodrama.
It was Lorde's first live performance (not counting SNL) in nearly three years, and the brooding pop star graced the small, attentive crowd with new songs off her upcoming album, Melodrama, including an unheard track, "Sober".
Her second album Melodrama is due for release on June 16.
"This next song that I'm about to play you is brand new".
Lorde, a roadside rock spot in the Californian desert, and a sneak peek of some of her new stuff, including "Sober", which she performed for the first time before a live audience?
Watch footage of Lorde's Coachella set and "Homemade Dynamite" below. She opened with Tennis Courts, followed by Magnets and 400 Lux. "Let's get raucous before Coachella on Sunday night", she said.
And it means Lorde has officially continued her streak of speaking directly to the secrets in my heart that I wish were known and seen.
