Babri demolition case may bring out skeletons in BJP's closet

His comments came after the central investigation agency appealed in the top court to revive the criminal conspiracy charge against senior BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi, Uma Bharti and other leaders in the Babri Masjid demolition case. While indulging in such talk (for public consumption), these leaders forget that they are also insinuating that the present ruling dispensation at the Centre has some truck with the apex court. It is the CBI which is conspiring.

Prime Minister Modi had called the core group meeting to review the Supreme Court's judgment, hours after Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, himself a senior advocate, played it down claiming no material change has happened in the case going on since 1993. "Why should leaders like Uma Bharti resign from Union Minister position, these all are baseless charges", BJP spokesman GVL Narasimha Rao told a news channel. Is there a conspiracy to frame the BJP veteran or is he responsible for whipping up the mob frenzy? Soon after the Supreme Court order, she had announced that she would visit Ayodhya to seek lord Ram's blessings for an early construction of a grand Ram temple. "But nobody demolished the structure", Katiyar said. Speaking to ANI, Vedanti also said, "Ram lala ke liye chahe jail jaana ho, faansi pe latakna ho hum tayyar hain".

This has raised speculation that the CBI is being used by powerful forces in the BJP to remove Advani and Joshi from the presidential race.

While one of the accused, Bharati, is a sitting federal minister another key accused Kalyan Singh, enjoys constitutional immunity as he is governor of Rajasthan. The apex court ordered that two separate cases in Lucknow and Raebareli against Advani, Joshi and Bharti and unknown "kar sevaks" shall be brought together in one trial.

"It has gone through various stages of justice. It was a Supremer Court order which said cases in Lucknow and Rae Bareli should go on separately".

"I am ready to face the trial", said Pradhan.
