In late March, days before Hodgkinson left town, Bill Schaumleffel called the St. Clair Sheriff's Office to complain about Hodgkinson firing his rifle toward houses when his grandchildren were outside. Apparently, Hodgkinson failed to recognize Rep. Duncan or lost the nerve to confront him, but thankfully the Clinton, SC Congressman left the parking lots minutes before the shooting started.
A list found on the body of James Hodgkinson, the suspect in Wednesday's shooting at an Alexandria, Va., baseball field, revealed the names of three Republican lawmakers, the Washington Examiner reported Friday.

"It's been much more hard than people even thought at the time", Trump told reporters at the White House on Thursday, adding that he also had visited a wounded Capitol Police officer at the hospital.
Sue Hodgkinson is the wife of James Hodgkinson.
She said she believed he was going to return to the Metro East from Washington soon because he was out of money.
Five people were wounded on Wednesday morning when a gunman opened fire at a baseball field in Alexandria, Virginia. And it was at that auto shop that his anger flared during small talk with the mechanic. And I met a man and a woman who said that they don't agree on President Donald Trump, but they're still friends. The Del Ray Service Center is known as a "neutral zone" of sorts when it comes to politics; lawmakers of both parties take their cars there. His voice got loud and deep. Scalise remained in critical condition Thursday afternoon, and although doctors say his condition has improved some over the last 36 hours, he will require further surgeries, time in the hospital and rehabilitation. His social media activity showed a disdain for GOP officials. It is not clear whether the gunman specifically targeted them in the attack.
Federal law enforcement said he was living out of his vehicle from March until June. Two Capitol Police officers sustained relatively minor injuries.
He also had an arrest record going back to the 1990s, including a battery charge in 2006.
After getting out of a black SUV that drove down Rolling Hills Lane from the Hodgkinson home, Sue Hodgkinson stood next to a federal agent in front of a gaggle of reporters.
In 1996, the Hodgkinsons' foster daughter, Wanda Ashley Stock, whom he described as a "very practical, level-headed girl" doused herself in gasoline and set herself on fire.
While trying to drive away from that confrontation, the report said, Hodgkinson used a pocket knife to cut a seat belt.
Ten years earlier, a foster daughter committed suicide by dousing herself with gasoline and setting herself on fire inside her auto, the Belleville News-Democrat reported.
James Hodgkinson, 66, disappeared from the downstate community earlier this year, authorities say. Even his email address was basic: email@example.com.
"I'm sorry that he did this", she added.
She said she didn't necessarily consider his departure odd. "I can not believe it", she said. He always drank alone, and always drank cans of Budweiser - sometimes just one, sometimes as many as six, said Kristina Scrimshaw, a bartender at the restaurant.
But when asked if he was "fed up with the system", she said "Probably".
Hodgkinson told the YMCA on Tuesday that he wanted to cancel his membership because he was moving, the YMCA said in a statement.
Scalise, as the third-ranking member of the U.S. House of Representatives, had a capitol police detail with him at the practice.
"I knew he was a Democrat, a pretty hardcore one".
