Mueller Probing Jared Kushner's Business Activities

Robert Mueller, appointed as special counsel in the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election, is scrutinizing Jared Kushner's "finances and business dealings, "The Washington Post reported Thursday citing unnamed "officials familiar with the matter".
Robert Mueller III is looking into Kushner's post-election meetings with Sergey Kislyak, the Russian ambassador to the United States, and Sergey Gorkov, who is in charge of the Russian state-owned bank Vnesheconombank, according to a report by The Washington Post. At least 13 lawyers have joined a legal team led by special counsel Mueller to tackle the Russian Federation investigation, according to spokesman Peter Carr. "He will do the same if he is contacted in connection with any other inquiry".
After a series of Twitter posts Thursday assailing reports that a special counsel is investigating obstruction of justice allegations against him, Trump took to Twitter again Friday.
Kushner has agreed to discuss his Russian contacts with the Senate Intelligence Committee, which is conducting one of several investigations into Russian meddling in the 2016 election.
The president complained the probe is unfair and wondered why his defeated Democratic opponent wasn't getting the same scrutiny.
"They made up a phony collusion with the Russians story, found zero proof, so now they go for obstruction of justice on the phony story".
In a subsequent early-morning tweet, Trump called the investigation "the single greatest WITCH HUNT in American political history".
The interviews are some of the first indications of the efforts of Mueller's newly assembled team. This is the problem with a lot of these special counsels.
The Mueller investigation appeared to be reaching a broadening circle of current and former officials. Mueller's investigation now encompasses the president's firing of Comey, the Russian government's role during the election, whether members of the Trump campaign colluded with Russian officials and alleged financial crimes committed by Trump associates. Coats and Rogers have testified that they were not pressured by the Trump administration.
At an off-camera briefing for reporters, White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders referred questions about the president's latest tweets to Trump's personal attorney.
The special council panel of investigators is examining allege Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. election, and aim to discuss with top intelligence officials, CNN reported.
On June 8, Comey stated during his testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee that one anonymous Federal Bureau of Investigation official was against informing Trump that he was not a person of interest in the Russian Federation probe.
