Last year, Activision included a remastered version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare with every copy of Infinite Warfare.

Modern Warfare Remastered features updated graphics, effects, and audio. This re-release sports a handful of upgrades, including new higher resolution textures, lighting and rendering upgrades, enhanced sound effects, and a few quality of life upgrades.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered will be coming to PlayStation 4 first on 27th June, both on disc and for digital download, before heading to Xbox One, presumably a month later.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered was originally available only with special edition bundles with 2016's Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. It's a lot of fun and really pushed not only advancements in shooting mechanics and visuals when it came out, but it was one of the reasons Call of Duty became so popular.

As it stands, the standalone version has been confirmed for Xbox One and PC, but we don't have a launch date for those versions yet.

Will you be snapping up Modern Warfare Remastered and reliving the series' glory days in gorgeous HD?

The five-week celebration begins June 27 and will feature in-game giveaways, XP events and new playlists across multiple titles.
