Taylor Swift Resurfaces to Congratulate NBA MVP Russell Westbrook

Westbrook's victory ended the first NBA Awards show, which included two wins apiece for the Houston Rockets and Milwaukee Bucks.

Russell Westbrook moved past Oscar Robertson and kept right on going to the top of the National Basketball Association.

Playmaker "Oklahoma" Russell Westbrook is the most valuable player of the regular National Basketball Association season 2016-2017.

The regular-season MVP award debate for the 2016-17 season was finally settled on Monday night with Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook earning the honor. But Spurs forward Kawhi Leonard won the award for his game-saving block on James Harden as voted on by the fans.

"To everybody in Oklahoma City who helped me go out every night and compete at a high level, I thank you for that", said Westbrook, who invited teammates on stage with him.

When Westbrook mentioned his brother, he couldn't contain his emotions as he shared he was his role model.

The 28-year-old Oklahoma City Thunder guard became only the second player in National Basketball Association history to average a triple double - double digits in points, rebounds and assists - for a full season, joining Oscar Robertson in 1962.

"That boy went out there and was a created player on 2k all year, [expletive] balled out. You can always achieve your dreams if you have faith and you sacrifice". I just want to say I love you and I thank you for everything you've done for me thus far. Back in 2015, Westbrook made a video in which he rocked out to "Bad Blood" and posted another video on Instagram from one of her concerts.

" Obviously, it was an surprising season for me but without these guys and the rest of ours who are not here, nothing would be possible", Westbrook said. "You are incredible. You're the MVP, I'm so happy for you". You've blessed me with a handsome son that I'm so thankful for.

Westbrook played exceptionally well during the past season for the Oklahoma City Thunder and experts took notice of that since Kevin Durant chose to play for the Golden State Warriors. I'm so thankful for the latitude that you gave me to be able to leave work and take care of my family.
