Officials said three children are being treated at Cincinnati Children's Medical Center. One was in critical condition, three were in fair condition and the fifth victim was stable, WLWT News 5 reports.
Colerain police spokesman James Love said the first officer through the door of the small house encountered a woman dead on the floor. Cincinnati police crime scene investigators have been called in to help with the investigation.
Although there is no one in custody, police said 911 calls and radio logs indicate that there may have been two shooters, WCPO reports.
A witness to the shooting called 911 and said she was sitting outside the house in her vehicle when she saw two men in hoods enter the home, open fire and run off, according to a recording of the call released early Sunday.
A gender reveal party is a celebration to reveal the sex of an expectant baby. I was sitting in my auto.
"As of right now, I do not know what instigated this", Love told WLWT.
Police said two people walked in and started shooting.
Police did not say whether the two men were suspects, and were still investigating a motive for the bloodshed. "There's a pregnant girl here".
The identities of the victims has not been released. "I looked outside, next thing I know they just ran in and just started shooting".
