Spurs to hijack Iheanacho deal

Kelechi Iheanacho's move to Leicester City is edging closer by the day as the 2016 Premier League champions have agreed on a £25m fee with Manchester City for him.

He's had one of the finest goals to shots ratios in the top-flight in recent years and has also scored six times in 10 worldwide caps to date.

The Sun suggest that Mauricio Pochettino could look to include Iheanacho in a player-plus-cash deal.

According to the report, Iheanacho is keen to join Leicester City who also have his compatriots Wilfred Ndidi and Ahmed Musa.

20-year-old Nigerian global Iheanacho has always been linked with a departure from the Etihad, with the arrival of Gabriel Jesus at the club earlier this year pushing the youngster further down the attacking pecking order behind the Brazilian and fellow South American superstar Sergio Aguero.

Leicester is thought to have agreed in principle with Manchester City to sign the forward latest this weekend even as the Craig Shakespeare tutored side is sweating it out in Austria, however, the latest interest from Spurs could prolong the signing of the 20 year old.

But after a disappointing season in which the former CR Belouizdad striker scored just eight goals, Leicester are reportedly looking to cut their loses and move for the precocious Man City forward.

Iheanacho has found himself down the pecking order at the Etihad, with boss Pep Guardiola preferring both Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus over the Nigerian, reports the Sun.
