The remarks come as the special counsel continues to investigate contacts between Russians and the Trump campaign. "I serve @POTUS agenda & that's all that matters", the new man on the White House job announced on Twitter. But he doesn't know politics, and most certainly doesn't know Washington.
"The President himself is always going to be the President".
"I talked to him yesterday".
"I think he's got some of the best political instincts in the world, and perhaps in history".
Responding to a question from the interviewer, Scaramucci said he wants "the president to be the president". He also compared Trump to Bluto, actor John Belushi's character from the film "Animal House".
White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer abruptly resigned in protest over Scaramucci's appointment.
Handling host Jake Tapper easily during an appearance on CNN's "State of the Union", Scaramucci denounced Donald Trump Jr.'s meeting with a Russian attorney as a "non-event". Trump has at times referred to global warming as a hoax. Asked about his shift of position, Scaramucci said both he and Trump didn't care, and addressed the President directly. "You're an inherited money dude from Queens County", Scaramucci said. "And the President's been very clear, as have his accountants and team, that he has no financial dealings with Russian Federation".
Jay Sekulow, a member of Trump's legal team, said on ABC's "This Week" that there was no need for Trump to pardon anyone. The column ran just weeks before the Iowa caucus and New Hampshire primary. Despite introducing new measures to curtail illegal immigration, there are few other obvious successes for the new communications team to trumpet. Roberts had upheld the Affordable Care Act.
Trump also claimed in a tweet that his son, Don Jr, had openly given his emails about the Russian Federation meetings to the media and authorities, unlike rival Clinton, who Trump accused of "acid-washing" communications. And he appeared to be performing as much for the President as the journalists in front of him and the audience watching at home.
He called it one of his "biggest mistakes" before looking into the cameras and saying: "Mr. President, if you're listening, I personally apologize for the 50th time for saying that". And somebody probably would have said to me, you know, get a cut-out to go take the meeting and go see if there's any legitimacy to it. Obviously there's a lot of incoming that comes into the White House.
Obviously there is a lot of incoming when you work at the White House, but the president's a victor, and what we're going to do is we're going to do a lot of winning.
During an interview on Fox News Sunday, host Chris Wallace said it was an understandable move, and pulled up a 2012 tweet in which Scaramucci advocated for tougher gun control laws. "It's indicating to me that the president is really well loved. In other ways, we want it to be very hard-hitting and war-like".
Scaramucci is smooth; very smooth in fact. Trump defeated Clinton for president past year and continues to criticize her, including in several tweets Saturday. "It actually in his mind, what are you guys suggesting?"
