'Wonder Woman 2' Now Has a (Surprising) Release Date

Disappointed fans at the San Diego Comic-Con this year shouldn't worry as Warner Bros. officially announced its release date according to The Hollywood Reporter.

"Wonder Woman" has been a huge hit for Warner Bros. and has grossed nearly $390 million domestically, according to Box Office Mojo. "The goal is to make another great "Wonder Woman" film".

"Wonder Woman 2" will hit theaters on December 13, 2019. There was also a mystery DC film teased, utterly untitled, which stated the release date of February 14, 2020. "Wonder Woman" herself changed dates, although still in June. However, despite director Patty Jenkins' success with the first film, Jenkins has not been confirmed to direct the sequel.

The blonde beauty admitted she was asked to star in the DC Extended Universe movie, but her jam-packed work schedule didn't allow for her to commit to the project.

The pop phenomenon has also set a number of records for a solo female-directed film, including the largest North American opening ever ($103.3 million) and the biggest live-action hit ever.

After being introduced last year in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice", Wonder Woman returned in her standalone movie this summer, only this time, the clock turned back 100 years to tell her origin story.

Over the weekend, the actress appeared alongside Ben Affleck, Ray Fisher, Ezra Miller, and Jason Momoa at Comic-Con to promote their upcoming film, Justice League, which will hit theaters this November.
