Actor Tom Wopat arrived at the 62nd Annual Tony Awards in NY in June 2008.
The indecent assault and battery is a felony.
Tom Wopat, who played Luke Duke on the "Dukes of Hazzard", has been arrested for indecent assault and battery in MA.
The woman involved in the incident is connected to the musical's production, according to TMZ. Wopat will not take part in it because a judge ordered him to stay away from the victim.
Wopat, 65, was arrested on Wednesday night on a warrant on the indecent assault charge as he was leaving Waltham High School, where he was rehearsing for a performance of "42nd Street". After actively searching for the actor, police pulled over Wopat who was in his Ford Bronco and then placed him under arrest. Officers said they also found a small amount of cocaine in his possession.
The actor denied touching anyone inappropriately, according to court documents.
The Tony nominee told police he liked to flirt with women but never did anything inappropriate.
Since starring as Luke Duke in the "Dukes of Hazzard" in the 1980s, Wopat has made many guest appearances on shows like "Cybill" and "Longmire", USA Today noted. He has also been acting on Broadway and in regional theater productions.
