Robert Kraft Gifted President Trump Patriots Super Bowl LI Ring

New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft gave President Trump a Super Bowl ring when the team visited the White House earlier this year, according to a new report.

Kraft and Trump have been longtime friends, and it was reported that the team was honored to be the first team to be invited to the White House during his presidency, according to a report from USA Today. Kraft gave President Trump a Super Bowl ring to say thank you for having them at the White House, for being treated so nicely, and having one of the best tours of the White House.

The Patriots will raise their Super Bowl LI banner on September 7 before kicking off the 2017 National Football League season against the Kansas City Chiefs.

So, naturally, title No. 5 has spawned "Do Your Job, Part 2", which features interviews with Bill Belichick and other members of the coaching staff and recaps another championship run - that included the greatest comeback in Super Bowl history - the 28-3 deficit the Pats wiped out against the Falcons in February. Trump is prohibited from receiving gifts valued above $375, but Patriots spokesman Stacey James said that Trump would likely include the ring in his presidential library rather than keeping it as a personal gift. Those rings were crafted in 10-karat white gold and featured 280 diamonds with the words "World Champions" on the front. Kraft said Trump called him every week for an entire year to check in on him during that time.

The Patriots spokesperson said that Trump went above and beyond with his treatment of the team during the visit.
