Game Informer has been able to interrogate Microsoft on the issue, also receiving a vague assertion: "As we announced at E3, "PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS" will be a console launch exclusive on Xbox One and right now, the development team is exclusively focused on bringing the best game possible on Xbox One and PC".
PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, which is still in early access for for PC players via Steam, is a insane popular take on the Battle Royale shooter formula.
PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is making a big scene at Gamescom this year. The publishers and developer of PUBG respectively, and Microsoft are jump-starting the launch of PUBG in the Xbox Game Review program.
The partnership with Microsoft is expected to be beneficial to PC gamers, too, as the developer will receive an additional support.

Phil Spencer, the Xbox Head, said that the utmost goal of Microsoft was to provide the global audience with the best Battle Royale experience.
Our team believes that we will be able to accelerate console development, while maintaining quality across all platforms, as well as giving us access to vast sales, marketing and publishing resources that will help us reach new fans. Starting with nothing, gamers must fight to locate weapons, vehicles and supplies as they strive to be the lone survivor. That said, we still haven't seen an exact release date for the game yet and the year is passing by fast. The title is set to launch on Xbox in the coming months, so it seems that the game will only get more and more popular from the moment onwards.
