Kyrie Irving Comments On Relationship With LeBron James

Thomas, a second-team All-NBA player for the Boston Celtics, was included in a trade to Cleveland for four-time All-Star Kyrie Irving on August 22, but uncertainty surrounding his anticipated return to the court has stalled the finalizing of the deal.

After Cleveland raised questions about Isaiah Thomas' hip over the weekend, the trade was reportedly in jeopardy, but it seemed impossible for the Celtics and Cavs to go back on such a massive deal.

As he concluded his video, Irving never acknowledged their partnership. Nor did he bring up his current coach Tyronn Lue or past coaches David Blatt, Byron Scott or Mike Brown.

"And to my teammates: insane stories, crazy experiences and just unbelievable human beings, man", Irving said.

The trade made official last night AND Irving's new 2K18 cover got a facelift too!

"It was my time to do what was best for me in terms of my intentions, and that's going after something bigger than myself, and obviously being in an environment that was conducive for my potential", Irving said. "Selfishly, I always wanted to just show everyone in the whole entire world exactly who I was every single time". And it started with not only going to Duke, but getting drafted No. 1 - by Dan Gilbert and his ownership group, Nate Forbes and also "the bald guy" [Jeff Cohen], as he likes to be called.

"I am not damaged", Thomas told Wojnarowski Tuesday. But by managing to successfully pull off a deal that sends a dissatisfied player and gain such a package that prepares you for the anticipated post-Lebron era, Cleveland gets what they need.

4 of the Boston Celtics looks on during the game against the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game Two of the Eastern Conference Finals during the 2017 NBA Playoffs on May 19, 2017 at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.

"There's never been an indication that I wouldn't be back, and there's never been an indication that this is something messing up my career", Thomas told ESPN. To be able to share those moments, with just everyone in Cleveland and everyone in OH, and doing something that was just an unbelievable experience for all of us. I'm truly grateful and I'm thankful. "It will Always be Love and respect Cleveland". "I don't know if I would have imagined 5:45 a.m. workouts at Brownsburg (Indiana) High School, we'd both be sitting here one day".
