The handset is listed with a 6.2-inch bezel less display with 2960 x 1440 pixels resolution, which is the same for Samsung's latest Galaxy S8 range of smartphones and the Galaxy Note 8 phablet, a whopping 4,400 mAh battery and 256 GB of internal storage. However, now a new leak tells a completely different story.
The X96 Mini TV Box comes with Android 7.1.2 Nougat out of the box, and it is fueled by the Amlogic S905W quad-core processor.
Xiaomi has got a lot of people buzzing over its September 5 India event, with many wondering whether it's planning to launch the Mi 5X in the country or an all-new Mi A1 Android One phone. Recent reports by a reputed Indonesian website Krispitech claimed Xiaomi and Google partnered to develop an Android One smartphone i.e Xiaomi A1. As far as the various leaks have indicated, the phone will feature a smaller screen form the previous iteration, coming in at 6-inches compared to the former's 6.4-inch display.
We don't know much about the smartphone apart from the Geekbench listing and the name "A1".
At this point, information on the Mi Mix 2 is limited. An earlier report said that Xiaomi would launch Mi Mix 2 in the second half of the year. We're expecting that more details about the phone will surface online before the official launch. The smartphone will be unveiled on September 11, just a day prior to the launch of the iPhone 8. However, it looks like that won't be the case, as Xiaomi has confirmed in a new tweet that the upcoming phone will the first device in an entirely new series. So, it will not be Xiaomi Mi 5X. Interestingly, if Mi A1 is launched in the upcoming event, it will be the first Xiaomi phone to run on stock Android rather than the brand's own custom skin, MIUI. The teaser also reawakens speculation about the recently rumoured Mi 5X-inspired Android One smartphone from Xiaomi, carrying forward the dual rear camera.
