Duchess of Cambridge suffering from severe morning sickness

The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, is pregnant with her third child with husband Prince William, Kensington Palace said on Monday.

The Duke and Duchess are parents to Prince George, 4, and Princess Charlotte, 2.

"Their royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their third child", the statement read.

The rules also allowed members of the Royal Family to marry a Roman Catholic and still become king or queen.

Kensington Palace confirmed on Monday that the royals, both 35, are expecting baby number three.

Their choice of Thomas's Battersea in south London indicated that the Cambridges were settling into their Kensington Palace apartment, having moved recently from their Norfolk home Anmer Hall.

It was not immediately clear when the baby is due although betting agencies were beginning to offer odds on possible names for the soon-to-be-born child in the House of Windsor.

Kate and William married in a lavish ceremony in 2011 watched by about two billion people around the world.

Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge with their two children, Charlotte and George, pose for their first Christmas card as a family.

Kate thanked the well-wisher for the present and turned to William.

After being gifted a toy suitable for a newborn baby during an event in the country, she turned to Will and joked: "We will just have to have more babies!".
