Police investigate report of shooter at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in NH

The New Hampshire Attorney General's office as well as New Hampshire State Police, Lebanon police, Vermont State Police and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives responded to the scene to search for the shooter. DCMS followed up with a report that police were sweeping the campus, with more info to come.

Shortly before 2 p.m. local time on Tuesday, authorities at a hospital in Lebanon, New Hampshire, broadcasted an "active shooter alert", local media outlets report.

Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center is New Hampshire's largest hospital, and is located in the west-central portion of the state.

The Lebanon Police Department in cooperation with mutual aid agencies is investigating a serious incident at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.

"Police were looking for a man described as 6'1" tall, with salt and pepper blonde hair, wearing a red camoflage shirt and may be carrying a camoflage backpack as well, according to Dartmouth College in neighboring Hanover. For emergency medical issues, please call 911.

All schools in Lebanon were also placed on lockdown.
