3-year-old shot his friends at daycare

A toddler in MI accidentally shot two other children at a home day care on Wednesday.

Ms Escobedo said she never knew her sister, Samantha, to keep guns in the home.

The shooting happened Wednesday morning around 10 a.m.in the 3000 block of Harding Street.

Agents will meet with prosecutors to decide if a wrongdoing was conferred following two 3-year-olds were shot and harmed by another baby in MI, police said. One child was taken to Oakwood Hospital and another was taken to Children's Hospital. Both of the injured infants were evacuated to a local hospital in critical but stable condition.

Approximately 1.7 million American children live in a home with an unlocked or loaded gun.

"These are heartbreaking investigations", said Gary Mann, Dearborn Police lieutenant.

Police said today interviews have been conducted with all parties involved, and investigators will meet with the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office to see if charges will be filed.

Ashley Escobedo, 30, who identified herself as Mrs Eubanks' sister and said she also lives in the house, told reporters her sibling is a mother of six and cares deeply for the children she looks after.

Police are still investigating the shooting.

Police have not said who owns the gun, and how it was being stored.

"I'm not going to guess on what occurred in there, but obviously there were weapons in proximity to where kids are, and that's totally unacceptable to me", Haddad said, adding that an investigation is ongoing and charges are possible. Police took the other children to the police station to be reunited with their families, WXYZ reported.
