Confirmed: No Nokia 8 For US Market

Although the leaked screenshot can not be verified, Trusted Reviews has contacted HMD Global and the company has indeed verified that the Nokia 8 won't be coming to the U.S. Too bad it won't be coming this way.

HMD has not yet confirmed whether it will launch Nokia 9 or not but more evidence of handset's existence have started popping up. This means HMD too will be ditching the 3.5mm headphone jack with the Nokia 9.

On the back, the Nokia 9 will have a pair of dual cameras, which are tipped to either have 12 or 13 megapixel sensors.

These renders of Nokia 9 have been leaked by OnLeaks in collaboration with CompareRaja. However, the company is said to be working on an entry-level smartphone dubbed Nokia 2, renders of which had surfaced online last month.

The screen doesn't look quite as bezel-free as that on the Galaxy S8, though, but it is bezel-free enough that the fingerprint scanner has been moved to the rear of the device. In terms of other components, speculation has it that the Nokia 9 will boast a 5.5-inch display with QHD resolution. However, one thing that might disappoint the fan is the fact that, the OEM is going to ditch the 3.5 mm headphone jack in favour of USB type C port. There's no existence of the headphone jack in the renders of the Nokia 9. Besides, the back of the phone also seems to be curved at the edges, which should help users hold it more comfortably. The phone will probably feature 4 GB RAM and 64 GB / 128 GB storage to choose from.

Other than Nokia 9, earlier rumors were also claiming that Nokia is also working on a budget-friendly smartphone, Nokia 2. The upcoming Nokia flagship is also speculated to have a dimension of 140.9x72.9x7.5mm, together with an increased thickness of 8.9mm due to camera bump.
