Liverpool boss Klopp excited to see his side come up against Tottenham

Klopp made it clear he thinks the club need to think about three points and the game - and not the stadium - in order to beat Spurs, and offered some tactical insight into the game as well.

They now sit third in the Premier League table on 17 points, five behind leaders Manchester City and three back from Manchester United, with Liverpool now in eighth on 13 points.

Tottenham, meanwhile, are aiming to go one step further this term after they finished as runners-up to champions Chelsea last season. "But they fly. It was so far a very decisive day when we lost 5-0". Position-wise I think it should be possible, but hard with the few points we have given away.

Tottenham, meanwhile, have been in good form and have won four of their last five games in the top flight to leave them third in the table behind leaders Manchester City and second-placed Manchester United.

Asked about Manchester City's impressive start to the season, Pochettino said in his pre-Liverpool press conference: "I think we are not going to play against Manchester City".

"It's always an honour to receive an offer from such a renowned club, but now I am only focused on the season with Liverpool", Can told German newspaper Kicker.

"Everyone wants to now be part of this but there will come transfer windows and we will see what happens".

"It will be a big challenge for them in the next few years because Harry is not only one of the best strikers in Europe he is one of the best strikers in the world, 100 per cent".
