Eric Bledsoe met with Suns before season, requested trade

In late 2017, the Suns' front office chose to shut down veterans Bledsoe, Tyson Chandler, and Brandon Knight, as Phoenix tanked to the No. 4 overall pick in this summer's draft where they selected Josh Jackson.

In the preseason, Bledsoe arranged a meeting with Sarver and McDonough and requested a trade, league sources told ESPN. The Suns fired coach Earl Watson after the loss and Jay Triano will be the interim head coach.

Now, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports the Suns are "engaged in trade talks with several teams".

"He said he was at a hair salon". In three games this season, Bledsoe has gone 16-for-40 (40.0 percent) from the field and 4-for-13 (30.8 percent) on 3-pointers while averaging 15.7 points, 3.0 assists, 2.3 rebounds, and 1.3 steals in 27.7 minutes per contest.

"I don't believe that to be true".

The Suns kicked their season off with three straight losses, including the worst opening night loss in National Basketball Association history.

Bledsoe "won't be with us going forward", McDonough said.

Denver likes Jamal Murray at the point guard spot and is ready to move on from Emmanuel Mudiay, so there could be a point guard swap but with some more salary coming back to Phoenix (Denver likely would want to dump Kenneth Faried but the Suns will want something that helps them out more than that). "One said the idea of the Suns being able to acquire the pick in a deal for just Bledsoe and another older player 'doesn't seem likely to me'".

Video was posted online of the incident, which came after the Suns' 130-88 loss in Los Angeles, showing Jackson making the gesture and shouting an apparent profanity at the fan.

Watson was hired as the interim coach after the Suns after they fired Jeff Hornacek in 2016.

Bledsoe was traded to the Suns before the 2013-2014 season from the Clippers. "Previous year the 6'1" guard averaged a career-best 21.2 points per game with 6.3 assists.
