Texas authorities responded to an early-morning shooting Sunday at what has been been described as a Halloween party.
The victims and the suspect were all attending the same Halloween party.
Police said they received a report of a white, male suspect dressed as Santa Claus who had shot a number of victims at a Halloween party at that location.
Paramedics said a man and a woman were critically injured, the Austin American-Statesman reported. He referenced a fourth victim who declined to be taken to a hospital, but he didn't say how that victim was wounded. City medics rushed all three to Dell Seton Medical Center in downtown Austin for treatment.
It happened around 6:15 a.m. Sunday in the 5500 block of Avenue F in Austin.
The suspect was eventually arrested without further incident.
Charges were pending, Austin police spokesman Lee Knouse told reporters.
The suspect is receiving medical care, but did not have serious injuries, Knouse said.
