The OnePlus 5T definitely has a headphone jack

OnePlus believes that the quality of sound that is offered by wireless airbuds is not up to the level reached by standard wired headphones, at least at the moment.

OnePlus 5T smartphone is expected to be out soon. The teaser poster for the OnePlus 5T was recently leaked online, and it shows the launch date on November 16. The whole point of having an audio jack is that it is convenient for the users to plug in any regular headphones on the go.

Anyway, after all this teasing, and now, a confirmation, Carl Pei once again quoted OnePlus' tweet (the one from Thursday that revealed the OnePlus 5T's name and headphone jack).

The China-based giant is still not ready to give up on the traditional 3.5mm headphone jack.

If the leaked information is accurate, it's possible the OnePlus 5T will be available to buy at end of November or early December. Another change buyers might see with the OnePlus 5T is a bigger battery, however the details about the same are not yet known. Even better, super-reliable leaker Evan Blass then delivered the goods yet again with this handsome shot of the new OnePlus 5T in all its glory. Retailers in the US are said to not have any OnePlus 5 variants available, while the OnePlus 5 gold variant is the only one remaining in the United Kingdom markets.

As for the rest of the specifications of the smartphone, the OnePlus 5T is expected to ship with a 6-inch bezel-less Optic AMOLED display with a widescreen aspect ratio of 18:9.

"In the past, we've made some jokes on this subject, but today I wanted to dig deeper into our decision to keep the 3.5 mm headphone jack".

Certainly, the transition toward USB-C and Bluetooth headphones will one day make the headphone jack noncritical, particularly for flagship devices.

Since the launch of the iPhone 7, the future of the headphone jack on mobile devices has been up in the air.

Coming to the features, OnePlus 5T will run on latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and will flaunt its 8GB RAM. OnePlus 5T will likely sport a more expensive price tag, and we saw this trend with the OnePlus 3T as well.
