Was Louis CK's sexist behaviour hidden in his masturbation jokes?

Oh, and on top of that, HBO has kicked Louis C.K. off the lineup for its upcoming Autism benefit Night Of Too Many Stars, and will be pulling all of his projects from its streaming services. It spawns a kind of crisis for C.K.'s character, who has his own issues with how he treats women.

This all comes on the heels of an article published on November 9th, 2017 on the New York Times.

Comedian Rebecca Corry alleges that C.K. She says he asked her over and over if he could masturbate in front of her, and eventually she agreed. "He asked if we could go to my dressing room so he could masturbate in front of me". I will now step back and take a long time to listen. The show's executive producers, Courteney Cox and David Arquette confirmed Corry's account to The Times. The cable channel, which said it had received no reports on him during the previous eight years, issued a statement Thursday saying that the "matter is now under review". The bars were closed and they wanted to celebrate. Earlier this year, she then clarified to the Village Voice that C.K. never harassed her, but that "when you hear rumors about someone, and they ask you to go on the road with them, this is what being a woman in comedy is like - imagine if there's always a chance of rain over your head but [with] men, there isn't". "His face got red", she recalled, "and he told me he had issues". I didn't think that I was doing any of that because my position allowed me not to think about it. "He abused his power".

According to New York Magazine contributor Yashar Ali, The Hollywood Reporter noted that one of Louis C.K.'s movie premieres have also been cancelled. He performed stand-up sets in NY and eventually landed writing gig on Conan O'Brien's Late Night and David Letterman's Late Show. I'd be remiss to exclude the hurt that I've brought on people who I work with and have worked with who's professional and personal lives have been impacted by all of this, including projects now in production: the cast and crew of Better Things, Baskets, The Cops, One Mississippi, and I Love You, Daddy. When confronted with the similarities by the Times earlier this year, he shrugged the accusations off as "rumors" and said, "It's amusing, I didn't think of that" about the masturbation scene.

A representative for Seagal didn't immediately return a request for comment Friday, but a Seagal spokesman has denied McCarthy's accusations to The Daily Beast. The Times cites one joke where he claims he has no place to masturbate at home and another where he claimed to have "constant perverted sexual thoughts".

Although his agent said he would decline to comment, Louis CK previously brushed off rumors of sexual misconduct, telling Vulture in 2016, "I don't care about that". That was a bad time in my life and I'm sorry...

Kirkman wrote on Twitter, "I understand how Tig feels". In 2015, she says he offered another apology, claiming that he "used to misread people back then".
