Chilly weather, sunshine to continue Thanksgiving day

Skies will be sunny all day, and it will remain cool with temps climbing to the mid-50s this afternoon.

SATURDAY: Mostly sunny and mild.

Happy Thanksgiving folks! We certainly hope you are having a wonderful holiday and have a chance to spend it with close family and/or friends.

Cold and calm conditions are in place this morning. I am recommending that day to spend some time outside doing those fall chores which perhaps we're all a bit reluctant to perform but need to be done. That will continue to be the case as we go through the next week. Highs willl be in the upper 50s.

TONIGHT: Mostly clear. Low: 46. That evening, skies will be mostly clear, with lows dipping to around 30. Right now models are not very optimistic in providing us much rain.

Thanksgiving Thursday starts chilly but dry for Turkey Trotters. The next chance of any rain looks to be next Wednesday but the odds are fairly low at this point. To see how warm it is in your area, check out our Current Temperatures Map.

FRIDAY NIGHT: Partly cloudy skies and cold temperatures continue, with a low of 42 degrees. After a few early morning clouds, mostly sunny skies can be expected most of the day with highs climbing back into the mid 40s by afternoon, maybe even a few upper 40s at the Seacoast. Afternoon highs will be above average, as well, Wednesday. Highs in the mid 60s. It will feel colder after you've stood outside waiting in line for a while too!

Through the rest of the day, expect more sunshine with a continued north wind between 10 and 15 miles per hour.

Clouds will win today with cold air in the mid 30s. By the beginning of the next work week, temperatures will be back in the 40s.

Light freezing rain and snow showers passed through the area overnight.

Highs on Wednesday are expected to range from the mid-40s in Western Massachusetts to the high 50s in Southeastern Massachusetts.
