Trump playing golf with Tiger, talks with Turkey, the country

President Trump made a rare acknowledgement Friday of his plans to play golf, noting in a tweet that he was teeing off with Tiger Woods but stressing he will play "quickly" before returning to the burdens of the office. "I will get it all done, but what a mistake, in lives and dollars (6 trillion), to be there in the first place!"

What Trump didn't mention in this tweet is that he and Woods have business ties - in 2014, Trump hired Woods to design an 18-hold course at the Trump-branded property in Dubai. Images of the foursome emerged on Twitter, which runs contrary to the recent dearth of images of Trump at his golf clubs posted to social media sites like Instagram.

Woods played with President Trump and Dustin Johnson in Florida on Friday and the videos which emerged earned promising reviews. Trump claims a 2.8 handicap, and his presence in the golf world is substantial; his name adorns well over a dozen clubs, and he's sought to woo a men's major to one of his Trump tracks for years. "Worse than Carter", Trump tweeted in 2014.

According to Newsweek, Trump's approval rating could very well make him the least popular president ever only 10 months into his presidency. Then it's back to Mar-a-Lago for talks on bringing "even more jobs and companies back to the USA!", Trump tweeted. "Probably his 62nd round of golf". Minutes later, the correction was that the president "will NOT have a low-key day".

Their talk came days after Erdogan attended a trilateral meeting with the Russian and Iranian leaders in Sochi, Russia, to promote a peaceful settlement in Syria.

Erdoğan later said he and Trump discussed the Syrian crisis and other regional issues, as well as ties between Turkey and the US.
