'Jersey Shore' cast reuniting for new series

Maybe this is what they call karma.

The big reveal came during Floribama Shore, which attempted (and failed) to capture the magic of Jersey Shore with its own colorful cast of characters living together for the summer. Just like the original show, there will be nonstop partying and drinking in the hottest beach in town. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the revival series, Jersey Shore Family Vacation, will premiere sometime in 2018.

Jersey Shore initially ran for six seasons on MTV and remains the cable network's highest-rated series of all time. MTV has announced that it's bringing back the original cast of "Jersey Shore". The original series was filmed in Seaside Heights. Ortiz-Magro was more recently seen on the reality show "Famously Single", while Guadagnino went on to have two series of his own, "The Show With Vinny" on MTV and "Vinny & Ma East America" on the Cooking Channel.

Several spinoffs, including "Snooki & JWoww" and "The Show with Vinny" were less successful.

The show premiered on Monday night, and needless to say, Jersey Shore stans of the world were not impressed.

The show's revival comes as MTV president Chris McCarthy has attempted to bring the network back to its birthplace and provide more upbeat programming in hopes of attracting the millennial viewer.
