Indian Trail will hold "IT's A Wonderful Life Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting" on Sunday (Dec. 3) from 4-7 p.m.
"The parade begins at 6 p.m. on Park Avenue and turns onto Main Street with activities continuing in the 700 block of Main Street", said Steve Bartels, Hereford assistant city manager. A free Christmas concert will follow the parade at Hatton High School.

Santa Claus will ride in the firetruck at the end of the parade and then will be at Teacher's Corner/Kid's Mart after the parade. With Louisa celebrating its 275th year, plan on having some old-fashioned fun, including gold panning for the children, along with rope making and blacksmith demonstrations. The public is invited to attend and encouraged to bring cameras for photos with Santa.
Christmas lights brighten the night this time of year, and ceremonies brighten the soul. The tree lighting will take place at 5:45 p.m. Friday in Rocky Mount as part of the Come Home to a Franklin County Christmas events.
