Stephen Curry Injury: Warriors Star Suffers Nasty-Looking Ankle Sprain

Steph Curry is set to undergo an MRI on his right ankle Tuesday after rolling it in Monday's game. With all of Oakland holding his breath, he was taken for X-rays - which came bac negative. And if that didn't get across how badly his ankle was bothering him, here's the video of Curry trying to get off the floor. Curry was good to go at the start of the next year, but after two more ankle sprains at the start of the year, the four-time All-Star strained a tendon in his foot, which led to his second surgery.

Curry was injured while jumping into a passing lane late in the fourth quarter. The Hornets aren't yet the elite defensive team coach Steve Clifford says they can be.

Warriors fans are undoubtedly concerned about Curry's status. After the game, he was in a walking boot with crutches.

"All things considered, I should, knowing I've been through this before on this ankle and knowing the surgical repairs from five, six years ago are fine, I should be able to bounce back", Curry said.

"That I had to call my dad and tell him I can't play golf tomorrow in Charlotte.Nah, just playing", Curry joked.

The Golden State Warriors and the Charlotte Hornets collide at the Spectrum Center on Wednesday night.

"Yeah, I always look forward to that trip, playing in that arena and playing in front of people that seen me grow up".
