The First Ocean's 8 Trailer Has Arrived

The title is Ocean's 8, not 7-is she the "job within a job" that Blanchett's Lou refers to in the trailer? "We're just a 'this is what's happening in 2017.' It's not even a passing of the torch". "We're not a reboot", she told EW.

The first trailer for 2018's highly anticipated "Ocean's 8" dropped Tuesday morning, giving audiences their first real glimpse into the latest installation of the effortlessly stylish, unspeakably cool heist-movie franchise.

"It's a parallel story of another family member that was raised in the same family Danny Ocean was and what happens when Debbie steps out of jail with all of these unbelievable, powerful women".

A criminal mastermind and seven other female thieves try to pull off the heist of the century at New York's annual Met Gala.

The studio synopsis reads: "The tide has turned and it's a whole new "Ocean's" when eight women plan and execute a heist in NY".

The cast of all-star women leads includes Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Rihanna, Helena Bonham Carter, Anne Hathaway, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson and Awkwafina. Matt Damon and Carl Reiner reprise their original roles in the Ocean's franchise as Linus Caldwell and Saul Bloom, respectively.

Anna Wintour, Alexander Wang, Maria Sharapova, Derek Blasberg, Lauren Santo Domingo, Zayn Malik, Kendall Jenner, Katie Holmes, Olivia Munn, Adriana Lima, Hailey Baldwin, Serena Williams, Kylie Jenner and Zac Posen will also pop up.

Or that's what the teaser wants us to think. Bullock's reply: "Because it's what I'm good at". "You'll find one who's a stay-at-home mom with two children who sells things on the QVC".
