This lunch is the first time Markle will be introduced to many of Prince Harry's relatives in preparation for the couple's wedding on the 19th of May, 2018. Meghan dazzles in a Ralph & Russo gown while Harry dons a navy suit. The couple's nuptials will take place at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle.
The images caused quite a stir when they were released online yesterday as people were shocked but also loved the level of intimacy between the two.
"As a way to say thank you, they have made a decision to share this candid photograph from the day of their portrait sittings directly with all of you".
Within minutes of their release, fans had taken to Twitter to share their excitement. For an official engagement portrait?
Queen Elizabeth's first cousin, Princess Michael of Kent, known as "Princess Pushy" for her snooty ways, had to do some quick explaining after she showed up wearing a brooch many are calling racist at a party with Prince Harry's future wife Meghan Markle.
In both photos, both sets of love birds can be seen going shoulder to shoulder as they each set their smoldering eyes on the camera. How gorgeous were those pictures!'
No other royal couple in recent history have ever shared engagement photos in such a candid yet intimate style like this but we are certainly not complaining.
"As a way to say thank you, they have chose to share this candid photograph from the day of their portrait sittings directly with all of you", said the Kensington Palace release.
On Thursday, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry finally shared their engagement photos with the world. "The couple are so grateful for the warm and generous messages they have received during such a happy time in their lives".
The couple announced their engagement on November 27 and a few days later a proud prince introduced his bride-to-be to the nation during a series of official events in Nottingham.
