Tomb Raider, 'Army of Two' arrive in January's Xbox Games with Gold

The year has flown by so quickly, it doesn't seem that long ago we were excited about January 2017's games and now we are getting excited for the new Games with Gold for a new year. For Xbox 360 owners (and through Xbox One backward compatibility), January kicks off with Tomb Raider: Underworld, followed by Army of Two.

First up for the Xbox One is The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing III from Neocore Games. It will also be Xbox One X enhanced upon release. What makes this special is that this will mark the game's launch on Xbox consoles.

As revealed on the Xbox Blog, Xbox One's free games get going with The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing III. The third in the series from NeocoreGames, Van Helsing is a role-playing action RPG.

Then from January 16 to February 15, Xbox Games with Gold members can bask in the gory glory of an undead-infected London with the first-person survival horror video game "Zombi" up for grabs. It has now confirmed the titles that will be available for free next month to subscribers who own an Xbox One or an Xbox 360. Among the collection of free downloads, Back to the Future: The Game, will continue to be available during the first part of January.

On the Xbox 360 side of things there's cool pairing of classic titles from the former generation, including Crystal Dynamics' Tomb Raider: Underworld. It will after be substituted by Army of Two, a co-op game. You'll have to check back daily to see what the deal of the day is though as Xbox is obviously keeping this under wraps for now.

On Xbox 360, you can get the action-adventure title Tomb Raider Underworld, normally $19.99, for free from January 1 through 15.
