Mariah Carey New Year's Eve Performance Sound Check Mandatory

It happens to the best of us: one moment you're jetting into NY from Aspen to perform at Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest, and the next you're fumbling with your inner-ear mic and looking generally peeved in front of millions of people.

"I'm of the opinion that Dick Clark would not have let an artist go through that", Carey told Entertainment Weekly at the time.

"Well I haven't seen her yet this year, but I've seen the schedule and there is a rehearsal scheduled, and I'm sure she'll be there", host Ryan Seacrest said in an interview with The Associated Press on Friday.

During her performance previous year, Carey was visibly upset and at times stopped singing, despite a pre-recorded track playing in the background.
