Earlier in the week, Conkin tweeted photos to her some 50,000 followers of the married couple's 1-year-old daughter, Luna, dressed as Alice in Wonderland, a hot dog and a pineapple, suggesting that the couple is somehow involved in the nonexistent human trafficking ring.
"I debated saying something about this but I'm pretty disturbed over here", Teigen tweeted as she shared a couple of screenshots.
Chrissy Teigen still has months to wait before delivering another baby into her world with John Legend. "The fact that there are people with these...thoughts...is really scary", Teigen wrote in a tweet on her now-protected account. "Ummmmm this is really scary sh-t". Holy (expletive). That thread is wild.
We're all optimistic about what 2018 has ahead, but there's already been one blip for Chrissy Teigen: Just prior to the ball-drop on Sunday night, Teigen made both her Instagram and Twitter accounts private following a Twitter battle with self-proclaimed investigative writer Liz Conkin.
Clinton, who herself has been trolled online, wrote: "Chrissy, sending you & attractive Luna a huge hug".
Despite initially trying to make light of the allegations, Chrissy later added: "Yeah yeah it's "just Twitter" but I'm pretty sure this *sick* person is saying we are darksided pizzagate pedophiles who traffic our daughter". This is a fact, I expose sex trafficking for a living. Pedogate, for those blissfully unaware, is an evolution of the Pizzagate conspiracy theory, which falsely held that a pedophile ring tied to the Clintons was being at least partially run out of the basement of a Washington D.C. pizza shop.
"I don't care HOW you backtrack or WHAT you deleted". I'm the last person you are f--ing with. I can not wait to have the biggest family.
Legend eventually tweeted at Conkin as well, telling the conspiracy theorist, "You need to take my family's name out of your mouth before you get sued". You are going to court.
She also criticized Teigen for hiding her social media posts from the public. Teigen very understandably asked why someone whose whole ~thing~ is accusing people of being pedophiles based on absolutely nothing was verified, and Twitter quite quickly seemed to agree, taking away Crokin's blue tick.
