Reliance Jio slashes costs, revamps plans to offer more data

Reliance Jio seems to be on a roll.
The company's flagship Rs 399 plan will now provide 20% additional data with a validity of two additional weeks, increasing the current validity from 70 to 84 days.
The recent Airtel Rs 199 plan remains unchanged amid all alterations to some of the other prepaid plans. This prepaid recharge plan comes bundled with free and unlimited local, STD and roaming calls. The Jio clients can use this offer from 9 January 2018.
Airtel has increased the validity of its Rs. 448 and Rs. 509 plans and Idea has increased the validity of its Rs. 449 and Rs. 509 plans.
-Rs 198: Under this plan, Jio now offers 28GB of 4G data for 28days, but post-Jan 9 - after Jio updates the plans - the plan will offer 42GB of data for the same duration - 28 days. The new offer puts FUP of 1GB daily. The recharge pack also offers unlimited local and STD voice calls. Jio's Rs. 198, Rs. 398, Rs. 448 and Rs. 498 plan will offer 1.5 GB of 4G data a day with validity of 28 days, 70, 84, and 91 days, respectively. The telco is also offering an alternative of 50 percent more benefit on existing plans. Clients likewise get free friendly national roaming and free SMS (restricted to 100/day).
Note: After the update, the most popular Rs 399 Jio plan which earlier offered 70GB data with 70 days validity, will offer 84GB of data for 84 days. It has also reduced 1GB data rate to Rs 4 for a 1-day validity plan.
Vodafone clients who require 1.5GB 4G/3G app for each day for 28 days should recharge with the organization's Rs 349 plan.
All Jio plans will continue to offer free unlimited calling and SMSes within India even during roaming. The individuals who select this plan will likewise get a free membership to Vodafone Play.
