Patrick Kane Named to NHL All-Star Game Roster

The All-Star game will take place January 27-28 at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida.

The All-Star Game will use the same format as the past two seasons, with the four division teams playing in a 3-on-3 round-robin tournament.

Pietrangelo, 27, has 30 points (seven goals, 23 assists) and a +12 rating through 42 games this season. After setting a career-high with 85 points last season, the winger is on pace to shatter that mark this year with 60 points through his first 43 games. The 6-foot-3, 210-pound defenseman was named a Second-Team NHL All-Star following both the 2011-12 and 2013-14 seasons.

Vezina Trophy front-runner Vasilevskiy will make be appearing in his first career All-Star game. The teams also feature three defensemen and two goalies. His.929 save percentage is third in the National Hockey League, and his 2.27 goals against average is tied for fourth.

Also selected to the Pacific Division team, coached by Gerard Gallant of the Vegas Golden Knights, were Anze Kopitar, Drew Doughty and Jonathan Quick of the Los Angeles Kings, James Neal and Marc-Andre Fleury of the Golden Knights, Calgary's Johnny Gaudreau, Vancouver's Brock Boeser, Anaheim's Rickard Rakell and Anaheim's Oliver Ekman-Larsson. Both events will be held at AMALIE Arena.
