Emerson Palmieri: Chelsea 'interested in Roma full-back'

Roma defender Emerson Palmieri's agent has revealed that a move to Chelsea would be his client's "dream" move, according to the London Evening Standard.

The January transfer window is in full swing and it is well known that Antonio Conte's men have targeted left-back Emerson Palmieri, who has been valued at €25m.

When asked if a move to the Blues is a possibility, Garcia told Calcio Mercato: "Of course yes, absolutely, now the two clubs are talking, we will see if it will be successful".

The Blues have already held talks with West Ham frontman Andy Carroll over a surprise move to Stamford Bridge but are said to favour a loan deal over the £20million permanent fee the Hammers want for the former England worldwide.

And Palmieri will be hoping they do as he is said to long for a move to the Premier League to work alongside Antonio Conte.

Late yesterday, the Transfer Oracle of Italy, Gianluca Di Marzio broke the news that Chelsea had made an inquiry about left wing-back Emerson Palmieri.

Sky Italia claim Conte wants the double deal finalised as a soon as possible and is happy to allow Batshuayi join the Italians on a loan deal.

The 31-year-old Bosnian has scored 12 goals in 26 appearances this season and stands as Roma's top scorer of the campaign.

But with the Hammers demanding £20m for Carroll, alternatives have been sought after, and Premium Sport report that Dzeko is on that list.
