Microsoft is kicking things off next month with Shadow Warrior on the Xbox One - an first-person action combat game that revels in the ridiculous.
Larry Hryb, aka Major Nelson, revealed the Games with Gold February 2018 line-up on Twitter and on his blog. They are all fairly old and probably things you've already played, but they are all good games.
The free games next month offer a savings of $69 for Xbox Live Gold members. Per usual, the two Xbox 360 titles will be playable on Xbox One as well. Come February 16, it will be replaced by Crazy Taxi through February 28.
The two Xbox 360 games for the month feature manic driving under totally different circumstances. Split/Second will be free to download from February 1 through February 15 while Crazy Taxi takes the latter half of the month between February 16 and February 28. Halo, Forza, Gears of War, State of Decay 2, Crackdown 3 and others are all going to be available to Xbox game pass holders. Moreover, the changes to the Xbox Game Pass would also allow PC gamers to get any game under the Xbox Play Anywhere program, further undercutting retailers' sales. Microsoft is also offering Xbox Game Pass, which is a subscription service that lets its user download more than 100 games from first party published exclusives to third party games.
