'Baywatch' star Nicole Eggert accuses Scott Baio of molestation

The "evidence" is actually an interview Eggert gave on gossip site TheDirty.com claiming that Baio took her virginity at age 17 after the show had wrapped.

Scott Baio is denying allegations made by former Charles in Charge co-star Nicole Eggert that he molested her when she was a minor.

In a series of tweets on Saturday, 46-year-old actress Nicole Eggert claimed she was "molested" repeatedly from the time she was 14 until she was 17.

Eggert made the accusations in a series of tweets Saturday morning.

She went on to explain how she was a "molested child", and she was 14 when the first incident occurred.

Shortly thereafter, Baio, 57, took to Facebook Live to tell his side of the story, a 16 minute recording in which he vehemently described the allegations as "untrue".

Much of the documentation Baio presented in the video he shared on Twitter, to include Eggert telling Yahoo she "would love to work with him" again.

"I remember her calling me and asking me to come over and coming in my house one time, and seducing me", he said. These are my words. "Now, go prove it or disprove it. the real problem with this is people with legitimate claims aren't taken seriously, and that's too bad". My reputation is being damaged.

He then walked viewers through his version of events, as his wife could be heard off camera.

"Now, any normal, heterosexual, red-blooded, American guy, the outcome would have been the same, the same thing would have happened", he said.

She also responded to another fan who asked why she didn't report this to the police, with the actress responding that she did.

In response, Baio's wife, Renee Baio, tweeted that his legal team had served Eggert with two cease-and-desist letters.

He also posted on Twitter copies of letters from his lawyers to show producers. I then produced two letters, dated from previous year, to Eggert and "Charles in Charge" co-star Alexander Polinsky who "decided to team up against" me, telling them both to go to the police if they had legitimate claims.

Baio also insisted he would not have had unsupervised access to Eggert while filming "Charles In Charge".

The Joanie Loves Chaci actor said until a few years ago he and Eggert were good friends.
