Congressman Gosar: 'Not in My House.'

A Republican representative from Arizona contacted law enforcement in response to reports that Democrats planned to bring Dreamers, immigrants brought to the US illegally as children, to President Donald Trump's State of the Union.

Gosar shows no empathy, and demonstrates his contempt for the hundreds of thousands of DACA immigrants that contribute to society in positive ways.

"Additionally, Congressman Gosar asked that they arrest those using fraudulent social security numbers and identification to pass through security".

Trump recently a plan for immigration reform, offering 1.8 million immigrants a path to citizenship, including individuals eligible for and still protected by the Obama-era DACA program. Kamala Harris (D-CA) and Rep. Carlos Curbelo (R-FL) have invited Deferred Action for Childhood Arrival (DACA) recipients, and others, including Reps. The U.S. Capitol Police did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Rep. Paul Gosar (Republican, Ariz.) shared his request on Twitter Tuesday, hours before President Trump was scheduled to deliver his speech.

And in case anyone missed his point, he followed with a third: "Of all the places where the Rule of Law needs to be enforced, it should be in the hallowed halls of Congress", Gosar tweeted.

"The Speaker clearly does not agree", Ryan's spokeswoman AshLee Strong said in response to Gosar's tweet, The Hill reported.

"I refuse to be intimidated", Reyes said, adding: "I'm not just here representing myself. What kind of fear is he inflicting in the people that live in his town, in his state?" she said.

Among the high-profile Democrats who have invited Dreamers to the speech are House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and Sens. They are at risk of deportation unless Congress acts on a permanent fix or if Trump were to reinstate the program.

Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas) said during the press conference that lawmakers were doing their "duty" and guests should not be denied the ability to participate. That led Gosar to jab back about the senator's upcoming retirement.

Fellow Republican Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, a centrist from Florida, expressed her dismay on Twitter, writing that Gosar's call for arrests was both "drastic and cruel".
