Huge sales start today as Toys 'R' Us goes out of business

As Toys R Us restructures its assets, the company will also refresh a number of existing locations to be co-branded as Toys R Us and Babies R Us stores. It is among roughly 180 other Toys "R" Us and Babies "R" Us stores set to close.

We called and found out they're starting with 10% off on everything, except food and diapers.

The closing Toys "R" Us and Babies "R" Us stores now have some incredible mark-downs available.

Toys R Us had filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in September. Critics have said the toy chain failed to adequately respond to increased competition from big-box retailers Walmart and Target in physical stores and online from Amazon.

The Cumberland Toys R Us store is not closing after all.

A release from the company says that opening discounts will begin at 30 percent off, adding that "deep discounts" will come later. Closing locations will continue to honor customer programs including gift cards, Endless Earnings and credit card specials. Going-out-business sales are expected to last through April in at least 170 USA locations, several of which are in Southern California.
