Rep. Jim Jordan: FBI Agents Were Hostile Against Pres. Trump, His Supporters

Since the leadership at the FBI was unaware of these new emails until almost a month after Page sent her "bombshell" text, there's no reason at all to think Obama had any interest in the Clinton investigation, which he could rightfully assume was closed.

"Later that same month, Peter Strzok - the same guy who ran the Clinton investigation - opens the Russia-Trump investigation", Jordan continued. We have a strict line, and always have maintained it, previous president.

But Fox News covered the story Wednesday, suggesting Obama may have interfered in the Clinton email investigation. I do not apologize in any way for what happened to him. "Ron Johnson has put out a report that is raising questions about President Obama's potential involvement in Hillary Clinton's email investigation", said Hannity. "It highlights their investigative bias and, of course, their hatred of Donald Trump", he added.

The text messages between Strzok and Page, who reportedly were having an affair at the time, first came to light as the Department of Justice's Office of Inspector General conducted an internal review of the FBI's probe of the Clinton email scandal.

Newly revealed texts between FBI lovers Peter Strzok and Lisa Page include an exchange about preparing talking points for then-FBI Director James Comey to give to President Obama, who wanted "to know everything we're doing". Many exchanges demonstrating the pair's dislike for Trump became public in December, though they were also a part of the tranche released Wednesday by the Homeland Security Committee.

And the timeline of the texts, as laid out by Republicans on the Senate Homeland Security Committee, does not comport with what was happening when the messages were sent in 2016 and ignores that the texts were sent days before Obama confronted Russian President Vladimir Putin over the country's meddling in the 2016 election.

This and other texts fly in the face of the vow Obama made several months before in April - of zero involvement and political sway in the email scandal case that could have buried Clinton's run for president in the election year. "Remember, July 5 is the day they say we're not going to charge Clinton, Comey does his now famous press conference to say no charges would be brought", Jordan said.

-Personal animus and/or political bias influenced the FBI's actions with respect to Trump and his campaign or transition officials.

Former FBI Director James Comey - quite famously and controversially - announced the end to the Clinton email probe in July 2016.

It is far more likely that Strzok's text refers to the FBI briefing Obama on the so-called "Russian collusion" probe, the bureau's counterintelligence investigation into the Clinton camp's claims that Trump was somehow in league with the Russian government.

The emails added to the topsy-turvy last months of the 2016 presidential election, which saw Comey send a letter to Congress on October 28, 2016, that the Federal Bureau of Investigation was reviewing new emails it obtained regarding Clinton's four years of service as secretary of state under Obama's first administration. In a message dated September 28, Strzok told Page that "hundreds of thousands of emails" were turned over to the Southern District of NY by Anthony Weiner's attorney.

"Throughout the primary and general elections, Strzok and Page repeatedly demonstrated hostility to then-candidate Trump and Republicans in general". - Parmaours Peter Strzok and Lisa Page texted each other on September 2, 2016 about prepping FBI Director James Comey because "potus (President of the United States) wants to know everything we're doing". "It's like an insurance policy in the unlikely event you die before you're 40".
