Ivanka Trump to visit South Korea for Pyeongchang Olympics closing ceremony

North Korea has 22 athletes competing in the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, a South Korean town only 50 miles from its border. Still, there is an appetite for sports broadcasting.

"The Olympics itself has been smoothly operated and we have many records". The United States and South Korea set the stage by announcing the delay of traditional March military drills, so it did not coincide with the Olympics.

South Korean Unification Minister Cho Myung-gyun said he would pursue, "without regard to cost", the re-establishment of family reunions, during his attendance at the Mangbaedan ceremony.

AWG is an global multi-sport event held every four years for members of the Olympic Council of Asia and features winter competitions.

President Moon Jae-in gives a pep talk to volunteers at the Olympic Games in Gangneung, Gangwon, on Saturday.

Fu praised fresh inter-Korean reconciliation through the Winter Olympics.

Ryom Tae-ok and Kim Ju-sik are reportedly the only North Korean athletes to qualify for the Olympics through worldwide competition, and are among the small group of North Koreans competing in the Games. They stole much of the show on the sidelines of the games. Thousands of South Koreans signed petitions calling for President Moon Jae-in to recall the plan to integrate the women's hockey team.

North Korea's leader, Kim Jong-un, this week offered praise for South Korea, which he called "very impressive", in a state media report.

"North Korea will try raise its leverage to the maximum by stating it will not be pushed around in talks", Kim Yong-hyun, a professor of North Korean studies at Dongguk University told Yonhap on Sunday. "They were the best card he had". He also pointed out that circumstances must be created in which the North Korean side would come out seeking dialogue.

They did not stop to speak to reporters afterward. "Some people see it happening in the foreseeable future, but they're more optimistic than I am". Almost a month prior to opening ceremonies, it was confirmed that North Korea would send 22 athletes to Pyeongchang, including 12 athletes who were added to the South Korean women's ice hockey team. The team, however, lost to Japan.

Moon had earlier talked about going to North Korea at any time for a peace settlement, but now he has given a muted response and hinted that North Korea should talk to the USA. So, as the head of propaganda, how does she attempt to change that image?
