Apple could be working on AirPods-like over-the-ear headphones

Currently, AirPods come fitted with a W1 chip, whereas the Apple Watch sports a W2. That likely means wireless connectivity to devices. He's now the media's darling for insider analyst news on Apple, but as TMO's Bryan Chaffin routinely points out on Apple Context Machine, his accuracy is pretty spotty. "Kuo states that the new headphones will feature an "all-new" design" but doesn't share any specifics.
Despite the fact that Apple's wireless earbuds called Airpods were mostly ridiculed on the web when they were first presented, they've proven to be quite good.
Kuo, who's well-known for having insider Apple information, says the headphones will be high-end and all-new. Most details are not confirmed yet there is high hope that this new age earphones will focus on higher-end-audio rather than Beats. The components for the new AirPods, however, will be supplied from Unitech, Compeq, TXC, and HLJ, said Kuo. The report claimed that the upgraded version of the AirPods would have improved wireless chips.
Another feature that would reportedly make its way into the next-gen AirPods would be a hands-free connection to Siri.
In the current generation AirPods, users have to tap the side of the earbuds to summon the smart assistant. Whispers suggest the upcoming AirPod models may also be splash-resistant. Though the device won't be capable enough to survive under water, they would at least not get damaged if it starts raining or gets splashed, according to Bloomberg.
Apple's AirPods is now priced at Rs 12,900 in India.The wireless AirPods are powered by Apple's W1 chip, and provides up to 5 hours of playback on a single charge. Also, its ease of use and relatively affordable pricing is a major reason for its success.
